Groupwork
The support groupworks are
organized to provide an opportunity for single parents to share their
experiences and feelings associated with the death, divorce or desertion. The
discussion topics in the support groups are relevant to the recovery from the
pain of the losses and other parenting issues arising out of the death, divorce
or desertion. These group works are mainly facilitated by the social workers.
Objectives of the support groupworks:
- To create opportunity and safe environment for the single
parent to get in touch with the feelings that are associated to their losses due
to death, separation or divorce.
- To acquire the self-confidence and build up the self esteem to
cope as a single parent through the emotional and moral support given among
members in the sharing.

challenges ahead as a single parent.
